This image was taken along a lone road in Scotland about 150 miles north of Edinburgh. Scotland is such an amazing place that I've decided that my next webinar series will be a tutorial on landscapes, as seen through my own journey through Scotland. Stay tuned for details.
Camera settings: Nikon D800, 1/160 sec at f/4.0, 16mm at ISO 2000, flash did not fire. Taken at 4:53pm on January 6, 2013 in Scotland by Jason Lanier.
This is a production still of me teaching one of the attendees how to shoot in manual at my meet up in Oceanside, CA yesterday. We literally had seasoned pros all the way to beginners and if you ask anyone there, everyone had a great time. Who says pros and newcomers can't co-exist? Next Meet Up is next Wednesday in Los Angeles for a model shoot! To see more images from the meet up or to register for a meet up or workshop, simply click on the website link below!

This image was taken yesterday at my wedding for Delano and April before the wedding. Our bride was getting her make up done, and I was setting up the room I captured this shot of the little flowergirl resting her head as she waited. This was shot with natural light coming in from the window and is completely unposed. Hope you like it!
Next Workshop: Las Vegas, Nevada- right after WPPI

Adobe Bridge is a very cool tool to use that is offered by Adobe and comes as part of a package when you buy Photoshop. I currently use the version CS6. Bridge is the best way for photographers to effectively move images around, rename them, and categorize them in volume. That's the whole basis of Bridge, batch processing. In the old days you'd use Bridge to run batch editing for you through Photoshop. You can still do that I assume but it's really a waste of time as you should be using Lightroom for batch editing.
Adobe refers to Bridge as Digital Asset Management Software. I mainly use Bridge for renaming my images, moving folders around, etc. at this point in time. It's invaluable to me in that regard and I really love the program...when it isn't crashing. Hope this helps!

This image was taken at my workshop in Chicago 10 days ago. The city center of Chicago has some amazing places to shoot. So we went there at night, I set up my flashes with pocket wizards, and started shooting. Thanks to Tyler Vines for being such an amazing model!
