Adobe Bridge is a very cool tool to use that is offered by Adobe and comes as part of a package when you buy Photoshop. I currently use the version CS6. Bridge is the best way for photographers to effectively move images around, rename them, and categorize them in volume. That's the whole basis of Bridge, batch processing. In the old days you'd use Bridge to run batch editing for you through Photoshop. You can still do that I assume but it's really a waste of time as you should be using Lightroom for batch editing.
Adobe refers to Bridge as Digital Asset Management Software. I mainly use Bridge for renaming my images, moving folders around, etc. at this point in time. It's invaluable to me in that regard and I really love the program...when it isn't crashing. Hope this helps!
