Painting of a Bride by Jason Lanier

This is an image taken of my bride Alvina during our couple shoot at the Ambassador Mansion in Los Angeles, California.  I always love framing my subject with a frame inside of the shot, like through a window, a doorway, etc.  It always makes for a dynamic image.  The hard part with this shot was trying to communicate with Alvina through the window as she couldn't hear anything...so I had to show her through the window how I wanted her to pose...it was funny and very useful.  Hope you like it!

"Inside, Out" by Jason Lanier

This image was taken at my wedding for Sam and Alvina in Los Angeles, CA.  We had the opportunity to shoot inside the Ambassador Mansion in Pasadena, CA and it was beautiful.  The minute I saw this window and the balcony outside, I knew I wanted to place the bride outside and groom inside, almost as if the groom is window shopping for the girl of his dreams.  I used off camera flash to light the groom and natural light for the bride.  Hope you like it!
