Looking Over Our Country's Future

This image was taken at Lincoln's Memorial on inauguration day 2013.  I thought it was a fitting tribute to pay homage to one of our most amazing and courageous president's ever, President Lincoln, who truly brought our nation together during our darkest days.  The sunset was just striking so I shot this 5 shot panoramic to capture as much of it as I could.  If you haven't been to the Lincoln Memorial, it is quite a site, take the time to learn more about our past so we can ensure a brighter future....

Wild Hogs

Look at Hell's Angels, here come the Wild Hogs from Washington DC.  Nothing is sexier than men in their 30's riding around in red unisex bicycles with camera gear flying in the breeze.  Well, the bikes were lifesavers for our legs and enabled us to get around the inauguration faster than anyone else there.  Thanks to my brother Ryan and Vanden for joining me on this adventure!!!

Lincoln's Vista by Jason Lanier

This shot was taken last night on inauguration evening as the sunset was ending.  The coloring on the entire picture including the Washington Monument is completely unaltered.  The Washington Monument is golden because that was the last part of the sun that was shining through.  This was taken from the top center steps of the Lincoln Memorial and is exactly what Lincoln looks at every evening.  It was the most amazing sunset I've ever seen in Washington DC....

Capitol Building Inauguration 2013

This image was taken today on the official inauguration day which was today.  It was such a beautiful day, and I really was happy that some clouds came out for this shot because there have been no clouds in the sky at all.  Can't wait to shoot tomorrow!!!

Velvet Reflection by Jason Lanier

This image was taken two days ago during the night shoot for my DC Workshop.  We came back to the reflection pool after sunset when there is still ambient light, pulled out the tripods, and started going to town.  It was an extremely cold night, but after looking at this shot I'm glad we pulled it off....
