Below are the native camera lenses that Jason uses on his Sony camera bodies. These are mostly a collection of FE (Full Frame E mount) lenses with a few E mount (crop sensor e mount lenses) as well. These lenses are superior to adapted lenses in regards to autofocus performance on Sony bodies. Lenses are listed in order of how frequently they are used in Jason's daily work. All of the lenses listed here are owned and used by Jason.
Sony 28mm f/2 (FE) lens- this is a fantastic reasonably priced lens that can be seen as an alternative to the Zeiss Batis. It's very sharp and when paired with an adapter can turn into a 21mm or even a 16mm Fisheye lens as well. This is a great lens for landscapes, architectural photography in low light conditions.
Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS Lens- Jason mainly uses this lens for wildlife but it in fact can be great for portraiture too!
Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 GM Lens- the FE 24mm f/1.4 GM from Sony is a fast, versatile lens well-suited to landscape, nature, and street photography.
Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2 (FE) lens- this is a very light weight wide angle and wide aperture lens that is very convenient for using in low light situations where wide angle hand held shots are required. The colors from this lens are very nice and the lens is sharp. This is a nice lens for video work in low light conditions.
Sony 16-35 f/4 Zeiss (FE)- this is Jason's favorite lens for landscape and architectural photography. It's also a lens used for wide angle shot at weddings and events. Due to it being a wide angle f/4 lens it has very little distortion at the edges and is very sharp. It's very durable and deliver consistent world class results.
